Corbett National Park is divided into many safari zone among which Dhela zone is added much later in 1994 in order to extend the Tiger reserve zone, The farming lands of the Dhela village and other two villages were included, but soon after joining Dhela become one of popular zones among the eight ecotourism zones in Corbett National Park. Dhela safari zone reported 2nd highest tiger spotting status among all safari zones in the year 2019-2020, hence Dhela Safari Zone is in highest demand. Often tigers have been spotted from the entry gate of the DHELA ZONE, which proves the tiger’s existence in the Dhela Zone. Dhela zone of Jim Corbett National Park, area of about 70 sq km, has distinction of seeing seven tigers once in Corbett’s seventy-five-year history. Sal Forest’s Habitat Large meadows, a favorite tiger hunting area, the watch tower built to see wild animals at a distance.
Dhela safari zone is situated at southern edge of Corbett Tiger Reserve, Dhela safari zone offers some exclusive tiger and sloth bear sighting along with the spectacular view of the landscape which is pretty rich in wildlife. The topography of Dhela zone primarily is a dry deciduous type and consists of a large Grassland (Chaur) known as Dhela-Laldhang Chaur. Laldhang and Dhela Chaur is the favorite place for the herbivores of the zone like deer, chitals, nilgai and elephants. Numerous water streams in this zone nourish the wildlife of this zone and adding the natural ambiance to dhela zone. Also, dhela zone is considered an excellent spot for bird watching.

Cancellation / Amendment Policy:
- After booking, there shall be no cancellation refund for any booking under any circumstances and no request shall be entertained for refund.
- For amendment, INR 2000/ INR 7000 will be the charge per jeep (subject to availability).
It is always best to book your permit in advance before reaching at the Corbett tiger reserve as there is always a rush of tourists for the safari and only 15 safari jeeps are allowed to enter into the Dhela zone in one shift and almost all jeeps are pre-booked.

How to Reach Dhela Safari Zone?
The entry gate to Dhela zone is Dhela (Khara/Dhela) gate, which is about fifteen kilometers away from Ramnagar city. After entering through Khara/Dhela gate, you cross about 3-4 kilometers of buffer zone before reaching the core area of Dhela ecotourism zone.
