Gairal Forest House

Sarapduli Forest House

Another forest rest house inside Dhikala zone is Sarapduli forest rest house, is located downstream of Gairal forest rest house on the flat southern side of the Ramganga river. This is the most centrally located rest house inside dhikala zone. Khinnanauli forest rest house is also called the vip guest house, having honour to hosts most of gandhi family members particularly Ms Priyanka Gandhi. Dhikala Forest House

Being the largest and most varied zone in Corbett, Dhikala is famous for its abundant natural beauty as well as offering the best sight for exotic fauna. The entry gate is 18 km away from Ramnagar city. Night stay inside the Dhikala Tourism Zone is highly recommended for the hard core wildlife enthusiasts. Dhikala forest rest house needs not much introduction if we talk about wildlife tourism in Corbett Park and India. With the exception of Kanda Rest House, this rest house provides the largest view on every direction. It is located just above the banks of the Ramganga river. Bijrani Forest Rest House

Bijrani zone of corbett park is closest from ramnagar. Bijrani Zone is very popular tourist's hub because of its abundant natural beauty and open grasslands. The entry gate of the zone is located at only 01 Km from Ramnagar city. After travelling appx 10Km from aamdanda gate there is forest rest house inside the zone initially built for the forest department only, now open for the tourists as well as per government eco-tourism policy. The bijrani forest rest house, is very popular between the tourists as it has very healthy population of animals and birds. The chances of spotting a sloth bear or the Dhole are the best in this part of the park.

Malani Forest Rest House

Malani Forest Rest House is located on the northwest ridge and is closest to the core area of the jungle. It is said by the forest guards and guides that the area further upstream is a haven for tigers and other animals. During summer, when there is less grass on the bed of the stream and the flat land to the right, the rest house offers quite a spectacular sight of different mammals and birdlife in their natural habitats. There is no electricity, like in most of the other rest houses too, but here even the water is also a problem during summer. It is however extremely difficult to get reservations for it as it is mostly kept out of bounds to the common man.

FOREST REST HOUSE IN JHIRNA ZONE

JHIRNA FOREST REST HOUSE

Jhirna is another important tourist zone in the Jim Corbett National park that is open for tourist round the year. Jhirna Gate is located at 16 km from Ramnagar city. Jhirna is also well known forest house lies just inside the southern boundary of the park. Jhirna forest house can be reached once we travel from Ramnagar to Kalagarh road that runs in east-west direction of the park. The landscape in this zone is drier as compare to Dhikala or Bijrani zone and vegetation found in jhiran zone is mostly scrub. The area in and around Jhirna was a farming village till 1994 when it was relocated under project tiger on the Delhi-Ramnagar Road. This important zone of the Corbett is a good habitat for tiger, elephant, deer and mother interesting mammals like sloth bear and wild boar. Visitors can enjoy bird watching as many species of residents and migrated bird can be seen, most of man-animal conflicts are seen in and around jhirna zone.

DHELA FOREST REST HOUSE

Dhela is a new eco tourism zone in Corbett National Park included in tiger reserve zone in November 2014. This is the only area in the reserve's buffer zone open to tourists in CTR. The zone is retaining the attention of large number of tourist because of its wealthy flora and fauna, open throughout the year, located at an approximate distance of 13 Km from Ramnagar City.
